1,100 in Cary area lose power; cause unknown
CARY – A power outage affected about 1,100 Cary-area customers Sunday evening, ComEd said. The cause of the outages was unknown, spokeswoman Noelle Gaffney said.
The outages were reported about 7:15 p.m. Earlier in the day, about 25,000 customers were without power in ComEd’s region in Illinois. Those outages were due to the high winds, Gaffney said. The outages were down to 7,900 customers about 8 p.m., she said.
