Income tax law changes focus of MCC workshop

CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College continues its monthly workshop series for accountants, tax preparers and financial planners from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 11.

The featured topic is 2012 Federal Income Tax Law Changes, presented by Kurt Schneider, CPA. Schneider will present an overview of the changes and important details that accountants need to know when preparing and filing federal tax returns for the 2012 calendar year.

Schneider has spent the last 18 years in public accounting, guiding clients through the complexities of tax and regulation. Upon passing the CPA exam, he held positions in private industry as well as public accounting. While in public accounting, he has managed in tax and audit. He currently works as senior director of tax at Exemplar Accounting and Tax Advisors. He also teaches Intermediate Accounting as an adjunct instructor at McHenry County College.
