'The First Fifty Years' to be screened in Woodstock
WOODSTOCK – A free showing of the documentary “The First Fifty Years” will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Woodstock Opera House.
The documentary celebrates the history of the Woodstock Fine Arts Association and its Creative Living Series. It takes a look back at Creative Living speakers, the Opera House, the city of Woodstock and the filming of “Groundhog Day,” and it offers celebratory wishes from famous speakers.
The film captures the determination of the Woodstock Fine Arts Association to save the Woodstock Opera House and to push for National Historic Landmark recognition.
