Chicago girl, 16, fatally shot

CHICAGO — Police in Chicago are investigating the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl.

Authorities say Taylor Fitting was shot in the head late Monday in the Roseland neighborhood on the city's South Side.

Police officials say the injured Morgan Park High School student was dropped off at Roseland Community Hospital. Investigators are trying to find the person who dropped her off and figure out who shot her.

Officials with the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office say the teen was transferred to Advocate Medical Center in Oak Lawn where she died just before midnight.
