WOODSTOCK – Marian Central Catholic High School will open its doors Sunday to welcome families and students to an open house.
It will begin at 1 p.m. with an administrator presentation in the auditorium. Guided building tours will follow until 3 p.m., with the opportunity for families to speak with teachers, students and administrators.
Marian Central welcomes 690 students each day. Classes are small enough for students to get to know each other, yet the student body is large enough that it can offer a varied and challenging college preparatory curriculum.
Each year, more than 98 percent of of the school's graduating seniors go on to higher education. Additionally, the Class of 2012 received college scholarships totaling more than $15.6 million. Among the 169 graduates in that class were 37 Illinois State Scholars and five National Merit Commended Scholars. Together, the class earned a composite ACT score of 24.9.
