Abortion is anti-women
To the Editor:
A recent letter to the editor (Nancy Schwab, Oct. 27) calls pro-life legislation “anti-women.” I more easily could call pro-choice legislation “anti-women” because of the hundreds of thousands of innocent females aborted each year in this country. What is more “anti-women,” the effect of a mother whose right to abort is limited or the effect on a baby girl whose mother’s right to abort is not limited? A woman’s rights should be protected from the moment she is conceived.
The author uses the term “reproductive rights.” What a misplaced term. In this country, we do have the right to reproduce, in contrast with China and their one child per family policy and government-forced abortions.
