Memorial set for Cary man killed in North Dakota

CARY – A memorial Mass has been set for Cary resident Thomas McFall, who died Friday after a car accident in North Dakota while on a hunting trip.

A public gathering will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 410 First St., Cary. A memorial Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m.

McFall, 55, was driving west on Highway 11 toward Hague, N.D., around 6:30 p.m. Friday when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and rolled over several times, according to a news release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol. He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was icy at the time of the incident from a mix of light rain and snow, according to the news release.

Married for more than 22 years, McFall was an avid hunter who loved taking his two dogs on the hunts, according to his obituary. He was a construction superintendent for the past five years and loved motorcycles.
