Carpentersville man charged with sexual assault

CARPENTSVILLE – A Carpentersville man has been charged with sexually assaulting a female juvenile relative, according to authorities.

Alfredo Vidigaray, 36, has been charged with five felony counts of criminal sexual assault of a family member younger than 18 years old.

Vidigaray was arrested Wednesday at his home in the 100 block of San Juan Road, according to the Carpentersville Police Department. Officers received the initial report Tuesday and the investigation was handled in conjunction with the Children’s Advocacy Center.

He is currently being held at the Kane County Adult Justice Center on a $500,000 bond.

Vidigaray is next scheduled to appear in court Nov. 28.
