Remains found in Island Lake ID'd as missing Joliet man
ISLAND LAKE – Skeletal remains found in an Island Lake marshland have been identified as a Joliet man reported missing more than a year ago, according to authorities.
Kenneth J. Kile Jr. was reported missing by his roommate in July 2011, according to the Island Lake Police Department. He disappeared about six weeks before being reported missing.
The Gulf War veteran was last seen entering a wooded area near Route 176 and Lakeview Drive in the Cotton Creek Marsh Nature Preserve.
