Algonquin police seek accreditation
ALGONQUIN – The Algonquin Police Department is seeking input from residents while police prepare for a meeting with state accreditation officials.
A team from the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program will arrive Nov. 28 to examine all aspects of the Algonquin Police Department’s policies and procedures, management, operations and support services as the department seeks accreditation, Police Chief Russell Laine announced recently.
There will be two assessors assigned to Algonquin’s assessment team: team leader, Sycamore Police Chief Don Thomas and Lt. Joseph Mitchell of the Orland Park Police Department.
