Chicago aldermen urge licenses for immigrants
CHICAGO — The Chicago City Council has passed a resolution urging Illinois' General Assembly to pass legislation requiring immigrant drivers to be trained, tested, licensed and insured.
Alderman Danny Solis says the action shows Chicago supports "sensible and reasonable legislation" to protect "Illinois highways and families."
The resolution was approved Thursday with 28 votes.
