CRYSTAL LAKE – The McHenry County Conservation District’s “Cougars in Our Midst?” will be presented from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at Prairieview Education Center, 2112 Behan Road, Crystal Lake.

The presentation will feature a national expert on carnivore ecology, James Halfpenny from Montana.

Halfpenny will discuss cougars and sort fact from fiction regarding them. He is an author, scientist and educator whose work has taken him to all seven continents and Greenland.
