BARRINGTON – Long-term or chronic pain can take a physical, financial and emotional toll on pain sufferers and their family members.  

"Learn to Manage Your Chronic Pain," part of a fall lecture series, will be presented from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, 450 W. Route 22 in Barrington. 

The event will feature guest speaker Dr. J. Nnaemeka Onwuta, a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management specialist with Advocate Medical Group. Onwuta will discuss aspects of living with pain, its causes, as well as management techniques and coping mechanisms.
