Woodstock businesses caught selling tobacco to minors

WOODSTOCK – Employees at seven separate Woodstock businesses were cited for selling tobacco minors during a citywide compliance check Thursday, according to the Woodstock Police Department.

Those businesses that had an employee sell to an undercover minor included Mobil Oil, 2025 S. Eastwood Drive; Gas Depot, 131 Washington St.; Marathon Gas Station, 1199 S. Eastwood Drive; Cigarette City, 730 S. Eastwood Drive; Citgo Gas Station, 830 Lake Ave.; La Azteca, 201 Church St.; and Capo Cigars, 805 Lake Ave.

The store employee who sold the tobacco products to the minor each received a citation and were issued a must appear administrative hearing date, according to a news release. A total of 28 tobacco retailers were inspected.
