ELGIN – The Alden-Hebron girls basketball A-H girls basketball takes 3rd in tourney

ELGIN – The Alden-Hebron girls basketball team captured third place at the Elgin Academy Tournament with a 52-32 win over Woodlands Academy.

The Giants (2-1) came out strong, outscoring the Wildcats 29-12 in the first half. A-H held Woodland to two second-quarter points while scoring 16.

“We came out with a big sense of urgency and knew what we wanted to do,” Giants coach Jen Nichols said. “We got up and stayed up.”
