Anti-gun group gives 2 Illinois leaders awards

CHICAGO — Anti-gun advocates have honored Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn and Congressman Bob Dold with awards for their leadership.

The Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence announced the awards last week.

They cited Quinn's leadership in the fight against gun violence, including attempts to keep Illinois as the only state that doesn't allowed concealed carry. They also pointed to the Chicago Democrat's recent proposal to ban assault weapons in Illinois.
