CL Community Band in Holiday concert

CRYSTAL LAKE – The Crystal Lake Community Band will present a Holiday POPS concert at 4 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Holiday Inn of Crystal Lake.

The band is composed of about 75 members and under the direction of Marty Magnini.

The spring and winter POPS concerts have been performed annually since 1986.

The concert will feature a variety of music including a Christmas “Pop” singalong; “A Canadian Brass Christmas”; Christmas from the 1950s, featuring Cary resident and trumpeter Mark Bures; and “Christmas Festival,” which will be directed by conductor emeritus Don Ehrensperger.

In the lobby during intermission, a bassoon quintet will entertain with holiday music.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, students and the military, and $7 for groups of 10 or more.
