Crystal Lake man found dead in Chicago alley

CHICAGO – A Crystal Lake man was found dead in a Lincoln Park alley Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Timothy Gallagher, 21, of the 1000 block of Hawthorne Court, was pronounced dead at approximately 5:41 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Gallagher was a 2009 graduate of Crystal Lake South High School. He also attended McHenry County College from the fall of 2009 to spring of this year.

Police responded to the 400 block of West Fullerton Parkway in Chicago at around 5:15 a.m. for a report of a man down, according to the Chicago Police News Affairs office. Gallagher was found lying on the ground with head and body trauma.

It appears as though Gallagher fell from the upper floors of a building in that area, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday morning.

The death investigation is ongoing.
