Fire leaves Wonder Lake home uninhabitable
WONDER LAKE – There were no injuries following a Friday house fire in Wonder Lake, according to the Wonder Lake Fire Protection District.
Crews were called to the 7500 block of North Oak Street at around 10 p.m. for a reported structure fire, according to a news release. Firefighters arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the rear of a home in that area.
The residents had evacuated the home prior to the arrival of the fire department, Lt. Kyle Seegers said. The fire was under control in about an hour.
