During a recent City Council meeting, Woodstock Mayor Brian Sager was presented with a ceremonial groundbreaking shovel by Classic Cinemas President Willis Johnson. The shovel symbolizes the village’s support of the Woodstock Theatre expansion project which, upon completion, will feature eight auditoriums and restoration to its former glory of the 85-year-old original auditorium. Full completion of the eight-screen complex at 209 Main St. with stadium seating, new seats, a new lobby, concession area, party room and new restrooms is slated for late summer.
