Animal’s dignity
To the Editor:
To the woman in the blue four-door car with an Illinois Wild Prairie license plate who picked up the bloody, dead dog with collar and tags on Route 47 in front of Hearthstone on Sunday morning – thank you. Your compassion for the animal’s dignity, for passers-by who may have seen it, and for the owner who may have been out looking for their lost dog was unforgettable.
To the person who hit this dog and left it lie there – shame on you.
