Crystal Lake twins donate hair to Locks of Love
Olivia Nippe-Jeakins, 9, of Crystal Lake, checks her look in a mirror Monday after she and her twin sister, Kathryn, (below) split with 8 inches of their hair on Monday. Barber Steve Marshall of International Hairways, 8 N. Williams St. in Crystal Lake, did the cutting. The girls donated their hair to Locks of Love, an organization that makes hair pieces for financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada who suffer hair loss during treatment of cancer or because of other illness.
