Illinois 40 bridge replacement opens
ROCK FALLS, Ill. — A modernized bridge over the Rock River between Sterling and Rock Falls is open.
The $27 million bridge on Illinois 40 provides two traffic lanes in each direction and recreational paths for pedestrians and bicyclists.
Gov. Pat Quinn and other state and local officials cut the ribbon on the bridge Monday.
