MCC offers trip to see 'The Book of Mormon'

CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College’s Trips and Tours program still has tickets to the sold-out Feb. 20 performance of “The Book of Mormon” in Chicago.

The Tony Award-winning musical is widely acclaimed, including by Vogue, which described it as the “best musical of the last 25 years.” The New York Times called it "the best musical of this century” and "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" said it is “a crowning achievement. So good, it makes me angry.”

“The Book of Mormon” is the Broadway phenomenon from "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and "Avenue Q" co-creator Robert Lopez. It contains explicit language and is suitable for audiences 18 and older.

The cost is $129. Trip participants will have lunch on their own before the matinee.
