Niners take lead early, hold off Bears offense

Nearly everything that could go wrong did for the Bears on Monday night, including having offensive lineman Chilo Rachal tackled in the end zone for a fourth-quarter safety.

With quarterback Jay Cutler at home recovering from a concussion, both the Bears offense and defense were ineffective in a 32-7 loss at San Francisco.

The Bears’ only score came on a 13-yard Brandon Marshall third-quarter catch.
