Illinois pregnant voter gives birth 2 weeks later

DOLTON – A pregnant suburban Chicago woman who voted on Election Day despite labor pains has given birth to a baby girl.

WLS-TV in Chicago reported that 21-year-old Galicia Malone had baby girl Ghorgeous Brown late Tuesday at a hospital in Valaparaiso, Ind. Malone voted in her first presidential election on Nov. 6 even though she had labor pains. She filled out her ballot at a church in the southern Chicago suburb of Dolton. Election judge Frankie Shine says Malone asked for a chair.

Malone said she breathed through her contractions while she voted.
