CHICAGO – Illinois officials say they're cracking down on people who illegally park in disability parking spaces at shopping malls.

Secretary of State Jesse White says the statewide enforcement begins Friday, the kickoff to the holiday shopping season.

Authorities will be enforcing the rules at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Water Tower Place in downtown Chicago and malls in Carbondale, Champaign, Peoria, Fairview heights, Rockford and Springfield.
