Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

CRYSTAL LAKE – Tune in to WGN tomorrow morning to see the Crystal Lake Strikers drumline perform in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The parade airs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on WGN 9. The Strikers are in position 4B, meaning they are early on in the parade, said Mayor Aaron Shepley, a founding member of the drumline.

In 2011, there were an estimated 3.54 million people watching the parade broadcast on WGN America, and 400,000 on-street spectators in 2010, according to the parade website.

There are about 28 members of Crystal Lake Strikers who will be rising early to get downtown for the parade.

"It's an early day," Shepley said. "I'll be asleep before Thanksgiving dinner."
