Woodstock homeowner charged with animal cruelty
WOODSTOCK – The owner of a home in unincorporated Woodstock where close to 100 animals were found living in squalid conditions has been charged with 15 counts of animal neglect, according to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Virginia E. Dinucci, 54, of Park Ridge, has been charged with 12 counts of violating owner’s duties and three counts of cruelty to animals.
A total of 91 animals, including a dead dog, cat and bird, were discovered living in unsafe conditions at a home on the 8600 block of Bull Run Trail on Oct. 29. That included 55 birds, 19 dogs, 11 cats and three rabbits, which were turned over to McHenry County Animal Control.
