Complaint seeks to have Nativity display in park
CHICAGO – A suburban Chicago resident is challenging a local park district's refusal to let him put up a Nativity scene in a public park as part of a holiday lights display.
A law firm has sent a letter of complaint to the Arlington Heights Park District on behalf of Jim Finnegan of Barrington.
The Thomas More Society law firm cited similar religious displays in public places, including Chicago's Daley Plaza.
