JOLIET, Ill. — A judge is scheduled to sentence a 37-year-old suburban Chicago man for killing his wife and three children in the family's SUV as they drove to a waterpark.

Monday's sentencing of Christopher Vaughn comes two months after jurors convicted him of murdering 34-year-old Kimberly Vaughn and their children — 12-year-old Abigayle, 11-year-old Cassandra and 8-year-old Blake.

There's little suspense about a sentence heading into the hearing in Will County Court. Vaughn faces a mandatory life term for the quadruple-murders.
