Marengo bowls over Kaneland

DeKALB – The Marengo girls bowling team defeated Kaneland, 3,099-2,524, at Mardi Gras Lanes to improve to 3-0.

Four Indians rolled a 500 series or better, with Dominique Bailey leading the team with a 607. Megan Hanelt added a 558, Susan Anthony had a 536, and Liz Iverson had a high game of 215 to go with a 521 series.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Carmel 69, Marian Central 51: At Woodstock, Shannon Wuensch scored 23 points for the Hurricanes (3-1) to lead all scorers in a nonconference loss.

BOYS BOWLING

Rochelle 3,191, Huntley 2,741: At Huntley, Grant Gardner led the Red Raiders with a 563 series, with Beau Rehner adding a high game of 229.
