CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College ceramics students will host a Student Pottery Sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the commons area in Building B at the college, 8900 Route 14.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Ryan Long Memorial Scholarship Award fund, which is available for MCC students. The fund was established in 1994 for art students in memory of Ryan Long, who was 12 when he died in 1993. His mother, Joann Long, a ceramic artist, established the award in his name because he was interested in ceramics.

The event is free and open to the public.
