BARRINGTON – Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital is partnering with A to Z Literacy Movement to provide children’s books to local schools.

To get a picture taken with Santa, bring a new or gently used book to a special event, which will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, 450 W. Route 22, Barrington.

Santa will arrive via a Barrington firetruck at 6:15 p.m. At 6:45 p.m., a local firefighter will read “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” The event also will feature refreshments and holiday music.
