To the Editor:
The letter to the editor by Gerald Frost (Nov. 27) demanding an investigation into the Benghazi attacks certainly does not appear to set a high enough standard.
With just four killed, the chances of an investigation are slim. Wasn’t it 271 Marines who were killed in Lebanon on Ronald Reagan’s watch?
There are those who think the thousands killed in the battles and bombings in Iraq after the misbegotten claims of WMDs deserved an investigation.
We also have been witness to former Defense Secretary Robert Macnamara’s tears over fake torpedo boat raids in the Gulf of Tonkin, starting the escalations in Vietnam that resulted in thousands of deaths.
If you want a government that responds to that kind of demand, you will have to get a new Constitution, or move to another country.
