Illinois has a pair of $1 million lottery winners

CHAMPAIGN – Illinois didn't have any big winners in this week's Powerball lottery but two tickets sold in the state are worth pretty substantial prizes.

The Illinois Lottery says tickets worth $1 million each were bought at convenience stores in Fairmount and Flanagan. As of Thursday afternoon, no one on had claimed either prize. Fairmount is about 30 miles east of Champaign, and Flanagan is about 35 miles north of Bloomington.

Lottery officials say two tickets bought in Missouri and Arizona matched all six winning numbers drawn Wednesday and are good for a share of the $558 million prize.
