MCC plans holiday trip to Chicago

CRYSTAL LAKE – The McHenry County College’s Trips and Tours Program will take a trip filled with shopping, lunch and lights to see Chicago and all its holiday flair Wednesday.

The trip departs at 10:45 a.m. from the parking lot at the college, 8900 Route 14, and returns at 7:30 p.m.

Participants will see Chicago dressed for the holiday season. A delicious holiday meal will be served in the Walnut Room, where visitors will enjoy the famous Mrs. Herring’s chicken pot pie and a slice of delicious Frango mint pie. They also will view State Street’s world famous windows at Macy’s and visit the quaint Chriskindlmarket, a German holiday market selling beautiful German ornaments and other German specialties – set near the city tree in Daley Plaza.
