Man charged in drug conspiracy

A Mundelein man was taken into custody Friday on warrants for drug conspiracy and other charges, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Rolando Gonzalez, 19, was found at his house with 153 grams of cocaine, which has a street value of about $15,300, the sheriff’s office said.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Gonzalez without incident.

Gonzalez is the fourth person to be charged in a narcotics investigation where two gang members and a gang associate were arrested on drug-related charges on Nov. 15 in Woodstock.

Gonzalez is charged with unlawful criminal calculated drug conspiracy, two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

He was being held in the McHenry County Jail on $250,000 bond.
