Petitions for candidacy for three Library Board of Trustee seats in the Cary Area Public Library District are available at the Cary Area Public Library, 1606 Three Oaks Road.
Petitions may be circulated immediately.
The term of office for two of the positions is six years. The third office is a four-year unexpired term.
To qualify to hold office, a candidate must be a registered voter and must currently reside in the Cary Area Public Library District.
Petition filing will begin at 9 a.m. Dec. 17 and will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 26; this reflects a recent change in the filing deadline.
The Cary Area Library will accept filings from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 17 through Dec. 21 and on Dec. 26.
