LITH police report on 
holiday traffic campaign

LAKE IN THE HILLS – Between Nov. 12 and Nov. 25, the Lake in the Hills Police Department conducted an overtime enforcement campaign to take drunken motorists off the road.

The department used 53 hours of patrol during the enforcement. Three people were arrested in connection with driving under the influence, 34 vehicles were stopped for violations of the Illinois Vehicle Code, and 53 citations were issued.

Lake in the Hills police will conduct another enforcement campaign from Dec. 17 to Jan. 1.
