Marengo girls bowlers top McHenry

MARENGO – The Marengo girls bowling team defeated McHenry, 2,577-2,239, Monday at Glo-Bowl behind three bowlers going over 500 pins.

Dominique Bailey had a 542 series and a high game of 195 to lead the Indians, with Megan Hanelt having a 521 series and Susan Anthony adding a 509 series.

Kim McClaughy led the Warriors with a 451 series, Alexa McClaughy added a 442 series and Krystal McCleavy had a high game of 182.


St. Francis 60, Marian Central 49: At Aurora, Shannon Wuensch led the Hurricanes (4-2 overall, 1-1 Suburban Christian Conference) with 24 points and Ellen Koscielniak added 10 points in an SCC loss.


McHenry 3,042, Woodstock co-op 2,681: At Raymond’s Bowl in Johnsburg, Kody Hudjera led the Warriors (5-1) with a 687 series and a high game of 248.

Zach Myer had a 540 series to lead Woodstock co-op, and Tyler Busch added a high game of 221.

Bartlett 2,890, Marengo 2,295: At Streamwood Lanes in Streamwood, Kyle Alt led the Indians with a 489 series in their loss. Marengo’s Dustin Termini rolled a 468 series, and Phillip Gaeta added a 462.
