Missing man's body found in East St. Louis pond
EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) — A man who'd been missing for more than two weeks has been found dead in an East St. Louis park's pond as police and volunteers were about to search for him again.
Police Chief Michael Floore says two passers-by found the body of 47-year-old Dewey Shy of East St. Louis on Tuesday submerged at the edge of a Kenneth Hall Park pond.
Floore says it appears Shy drowned and that it's too early to determine whether foul play was involved. An autopsy was planned.
