McHENRY – Mr. and Mrs. Williams of McHenry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass and blessing at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in McHenry followed by a family dinner at a local restaurant.

Barbara Miller and Richard Williams were married Nov. 24, 1962, at St. Mary’s Church. They started their married life in Colorado Springs, Colo., where Richard served a tour of duty with the U.S. Army. Then they settled in McHenry.

They traveled to the British Isles to celebrate their anniversary and were surprised by their children with a party in their honor attended by relatives and friends.
