To the Editor:

Now safely entrenched after the recent election, the members of the McHenry County Board’s Transportation Committee believe it’s OK that Kris Koehler’s employment is not a conflict regarding approving contracts with Mathewson Right of Way.

“I’m not an idiot ...” Mark Mathewson stated. You’re right, Mr. Mathewson, you know how to work the system. It’s the re-elected members of our County Board’s Transportation Committee and the board itself who approved contracts in this manner that are the ... well, you know. This example is another reason for term limits for all elected officials.
