Robotics tournament to tackle senior issues
CRYSTAL LAKE – A regional robotics tournament this weekend will explore ways to help senior citizens.
First Lego League’s annual tournament is a robotics program open to children ages 9 to 16. This year’s theme is Senior Solutions. Teams will explore the topic of aging and how it might affect a person’s ability to maintain his or her lifestyle.
Participants will solve issues facing seniors, such as getting around, keeping in touch or staying fit. They will research obstacles and suggest ways to improve the quality of life for seniors.
