Sheriff: Fox Lake man caught with hundreds of ecstasy pills

LAKE ZURICH – A Fox Lake man faces felony drug charges after he was arrested with more than 300 Ecstasy pills Wednesday in Lake Zurich, authorities said.

Christopher Walker, 36, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance after a traffic stop Wednesday near Route 12 and Quentin Road.

Walker was pulled over around 7:15 p.m. after violating several traffic laws, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. He later told police he had Ecstasy pills inside his vehicle.

A K-9 search of the SUV yielded 342 Ecstasy pills, according to the news release. Walker told police he was transporting the pills for an unknown person from Chicago.

Officers also seized $273 in cash and the vehicle, police said.

Walker also was charged with several traffic offenses.

He has been released from the Lake County Jail after posting 10 percent of his $100,000 bond.

Walker is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
