Hard to believe

To the Editor:

The election is over. The private life of Gen. David Petraeus has been opened and discussed over and over. Susan Rice has made her pitifully wrong statement, and then clarified it by saying it wasn’t her fault, it was the talking points. Our president went to the UN and claimed the Benhgazi attack was due to a video on the Internet.

Isn’t it time now to find out just who sent this ambassador and his people into an area that is overrun by al-Qaida? Isn’t it time to find out just who made the decision not to send more armed protection over there when they requested it over and over again? Isn’t it time and do we not have the right to understand exactly what happened? It appears someone sent them and someone left them out there to die. We should have the right to know who. What happened to our slogan “No man left behind”?

The loved ones of our armed forces should and need to know what is going on. Is it OK to just watch over the firefight via a drone, and never do one thing to help them out during the nine-hour attack?

And a question that has just come up – do you believe Iran when it says it has shot down one of our drones, or do you believe our Navy when it says it hasn’t lost any?

Does anyone realize just how hard it is to believe our country and our people now?
