The Northwest Herald ran a feature article in the Local&Region section on Nov. 24 about a Crystal Lake woman, Sandi Kavanagh, who is employing her strong faith and leading-edge cancer treatment to fight brain cancer.
The well-written article, by Shawn Shinneman, explained how the Burzynski Cancer Clinic in Houston has been aggressively seeking cancer cures, with a measure of success since 1979, and continues today despite several attempts by the FDA to shut it down.
