Cirulli and Rogers

DURHAM, N.C. – Elizabeth Trilby Cirulli and David Joseph Rogers, both of Hillsborough, N.C., were married at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at the Duke University Chapel in Durham, N.C. The Rev. Daniel McLellan officiated.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Cirulli of Chapin, S.C. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Rogers of Crystal Lake.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Dr. Nicole Spahich of Durham, N.C. Bridesmaids were Dr. Elizabeth Williams of Raleigh, N.C.; Breanne Grady of Seattle; Lori Chavez of Brighton, Colo.; Amanda Talaba of Ithaca, N.Y.; and Dr. Kaitlin Woodlief of Durham, N.C. Flower girl was Caroline Arney of Raleigh, N.C.

Best man was Matthew Mackelcan of Charleston, S.C. Groomsmen were David Williams of Raleigh, N.C.; John Lappke of Palm Coast, Fla.; Benjamin Chavez of Brighton, Colo.; Nicholas Cirulli of Greenville, S.C.; and Mark Rogers of San Francisco. Ring bearer was Scott Chavez of Brighton, Colo.

After a reception at the Museum of Life and Science in Raleigh, N.C., the couple took a wedding trip to Thailand and Cambodia.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Union Endicott High School in Endicott, N.Y., a 2005 graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and a 2010 graduate of Duke University in Durham, N.C. She is an associate professor and research scientist at Duke University.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Crystal Lake South High School, a 2001 graduate of Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., and a 2008 graduate of the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He is enrolled in the Ph.D. program in developmental biology at Duke University.

They reside in Hillsborough, N.C.
