Marlowe to present 'Princess and the Pirate'
LAKE IN THE HILLS – Marlowe Middle School will present an original comedy, "Princess and the Pirate," starting Friday.
Loosely based on Mark Twain’s "Prince and the Pauper," this original comedy by regional playwright Holly Burkhalter follows the escapades of a young Princess Elizabeth I as she switches places with a young girl who is, herself, disguised as a man in a down-and-out acting company.
“Princess and the Pirate” will be performed at Huntley High School’s Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There also will be a matinee performance at 3 p.m. Sunday.
